
Retreat Booking Terms & Conditions
Design With Nature – One-Day Retreat
Rydal Hall, Ambleside, Cumbria
By booking a place on this retreat, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking & Payment
Your place is confirmed once full payment of £75 has been received.
Places are limited to 12 participants and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Cancellation by Participant
If you are unable to attend:
• Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event will receive a full refund minus a small administrative fee (if applicable).
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event are non-refundable.
• You are welcome to transfer your place to another person if you are unable to attend. Please notify us in writing in advance.
As this is a small, limited-capacity event, late cancellations significantly impact the viability of the retreat.
3. Cancellation by Organiser
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (including severe weather, illness, or venue issues), you will be offered:
• A full refund
or
• The option to transfer your place to a future event.
We are not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.
4. Weather & Outdoor Conditions
This retreat includes time outdoors. Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for variable British weather conditions.
The event will proceed in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe.
5. Health & Personal Responsibility
By attending, you confirm that:
• You are physically able to participate in gentle walking and outdoor activities.
• You take responsibility for your own wellbeing during the retreat.
• You will inform the organisers of any relevant medical conditions in advance.
Participation is at your own risk.
6. Liability
While every reasonable care will be taken to ensure your safety, the organisers accept no responsibility for:
• Personal injury (except where caused by proven negligence),
• Loss or damage to personal belongings,
• Delays or disruptions outside of our control.
7. Photography
Photographs may be taken during the retreat for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs, please inform us in advance.
8. Code of Conduct
We aim to create a respectful, supportive environment.
Any behaviour that is disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe may result in removal from the event without refund.
